About the survey
The Global Brain Health Survey is to learn about people`s views on the brain and brain health. This survey is led by the Lifebrain consortium in collaboration with the Norwegian, the German and the Belgian Brain Councils, and The National University of Ostroh Academy.
Brain health is a new term used to describe our ability to remember, learn, plan, concentrate, and handle challenges. It is also about our ability to be mentally and emotionally in balance. Simply said, brain health is about making the most of our brain and taking care of it (Source: National Institutes of Health, USA).
We still know very little about how people think about their brain and their brain health. If we knew more, we could develop policy recommendations to help people take care of their brain in a way that fits their daily life.
About the survey questions
The survey includes 16 questions to investigate your perspectives on the brain and your interest in your brain health. The survey asks whether you would be interested in knowing more about your brain health, for instance, by taking brain health tests. It also asks about what you are willing to do for your brain health, for instance change your lifestyle. The survey ends with 12 simple questions about you. All the questions in the survey are anonymous.
Taking the survey
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Anyone interested and above 18 years of age can respond to the survey using a personal computer, tablet or cell phone with an access to internet. The survey is open to all until August 2020.
Only questions marked with a star (*) are mandatory. However, we appreciate if you answer all questions as it will make the quality of the survey data better. When taking the survey, it is possible to go back and forth between the questions, but if you leave the survey before you press the submit button, your answers will not be stored.
Your answers will be stored on the Lifebrain secure server at the University of Oslo until the end of the Lifebrain project on 31 December 2021. The data will be deleted after that date. Only the members of the core research team will have access to the raw data.
Your answers are anonymous and cannot be linked backed to you. When you submit the survey, you can provide your email address if you want a receipt confirming that the survey is submitted. Your email address will not be stored after the receipt is sent.
